Who I Am and What I Do
I am a Naturopathic Doctor, licensed in Massachusetts and New Hampshire. I work with an exceptional team at New England Integrative Medicine in both our Boston, MA and Salem, NH offices. Throughout my internship, I obtained over 1,000 patient hours with 600 patient visits. I strived to complete my internship requirements to join Dr. Jacqueline Yang, ND at New England Integrative Medicine for a preceptorship. Dr. Yang mentored me for 10 weeks and I was fortunate to secure a position as an ND at her clinic.
My passion for the Naturopathic field actually began with a personal health experience. From the ages of 17 to 19, I suffered from severe insomnia. I tried every allopathic method possible, but nothing helped until a family member introduced me to a botanical formulation and after just one dose I slept for 8 hours for the first time in 3 years. From this point onwards, I began exploring the Naturopathic field and how I could incorporate this into my medical-focused career ambitions. This same family member (shout out to my amazing brother!) introduced me to National University of Health Sciences in Illinois, proofread my application and visited the school with me. I was accepted into the Naturopathic Doctorate program and the rest is history!
I was born and raised in Ghana, although my family is of Indian descent. I moved to Minnesota for boarding school at 13, then to Boston to attend Northeastern University before moving to Illinois for medical school. I fell in love with Boston, and fell in love IN Boston, which is why my husband and I chose to return to the New England area. We currently live in Boston with our beautiful cat and dog - Kovu and Maui.
In April 2024, my husband and I welcomed our son, Kairav, into our world. As a woman with Stage 4 endometriosis and PCOS, being able to have experienced a healthy pregnancy and to be able to bring my son into the world is a miracle. He is the light of our lives and has sparked immense passion in me to support those who are trying to conceive, pregnant or postpartum.
